Dr. Raven Martinez-Hernandez - Associate Veterinarian

Associate Veterinarian Raven Martinez-Hernandez is the newest member of Hill Country Animal Hospital.

Dr. Martinez-Hernandez grew up in Corpus Christi and received her Bachelor of Biology from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. As a young girl, she was always looking for an animal to nurture and care for. “I always felt like I could feel their pain or fear and wanted to help them feel strong, healthy and loved. Becoming a veterinarian was the only path I wanted to follow.” Dr. Martinez-Hernandez attended Ross University and earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. She previously practiced in Maryland and was ecstatic when she returned to her home state. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association as well as the Feline Veterinary Medical Association. Her interests include dermatology, feline medicine and further advancing her surgical skill set.

Dr. Martinez-Hernandez shares her home with Her Husband, Johnny, a DoD contractor and Senior Chief in the Navy Reserves, her rambunctious son Avery, two bossy cats, one English Chocolate Lab and a spunky bearded dragon, Cutie Sparkles. Her hobbies include working out, listening to true crime podcasts and traveling.
